For one, if you haven't heard the accent it is confusing but also it makes grammar edits near impossible because some accents slip in words that aren't commonly known. The only instance where I've seen accented dialogue work is if there's a consistent word or two. The only times I've seen dialogue is always accents is if the character is drunk or if it is from an alien language.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05507019720913859563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1998835043850194033.post-58560112729546387912017-02-10T11:54:59.632-08:002017-02-10T11:54:59.632-08:00http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/1935/06/15/only-...http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/1935/06/15/only-the-dead-know-brooklynSmilodonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16424992227002963853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1998835043850194033.post-50354337028245413002017-02-09T18:38:48.098-08:002017-02-09T18:38:48.098-08:00Alan Dean Foster does a pretty good job with it. ...Alan Dean Foster does a pretty good job with it. Literally writing it out can be very effective, but you have to be sparing on who you use it for.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12850078714698950222noreply@blogger.com
